Command Prompt with Administrative privileges in Vista

Due to the UAC in Vista every program runs with limited rights and the same happens for the command prompt also becouse of this the command prompt is uanble to run some commands and get access denied errors. so to avoid this scenario lets launch command prompt with administrative privileges. The different mentods are discussed below.

Method 1

Step 1: Open Start Menu.
Step 2: Go to accessories Locate the command prompt under accessories.
Step 3: Right Click on its shortcut then select Run as Administrator.

Method 2

Step 1: Click on Vista Start.
Step 2: Select Run & Type in “Cmd” (without quotes) in the Run Menu Search Box.
Step 3: You will see a msg “This task will be created with administrative privileges”.
Step 4: Click on OK.

Method 3

Step 1: Open start menu by clicking the start button.
Step 2: Now type “cmd” in the start menu search box or in run.
Step 3: Press Shift+Ctrl+Enter to lauch command prompt with administrative privileges.
